STEVENSTON GREYHOUND STADIUM

The Ayrshire town of Stevenston had a greyhound track built around the perimeter of the ground of the local football team at Granview Stadium and situated at 4° 45' W 55° 38' N. The races were independently run and racing opened for the first time on 23rd June 1933. The venue proved popular and racing continued for over 40 years before the final meeting was held in 1967. The ground on which the former greyhound track once stood is now a golf course.
